Off course, having a rooster is really essential in raising chickens.

Also, you need to check if raising chickens is allowed in your area. You need to check all the legal requirements and licences. Ask around in your neighborhood and look for fellow chickens raisers for help. This is strong community and everybody will be more than happy to help.

If you have few bucks, you should think of having a coop for your chickens. Keep it clean and dry at all times. No matter what!

If you want your chickens healthy and happy, you need to provide them with space to run around. This is good for them, plus they will be able to eat grass and some bugs.

Be careful on conditions where you keep your chickens. They need different conditions depending on part of the year. Chickens are very delicate and can have health problems and diseases.
